The storm raged, she stood watching the icy rain beat upon the glass, with a feeling of pending grief. She could neither explain or ignore the feeling. It hung over her like the storm clouds in the Western sky. She wrapped her arms tighter around herself, holding tight, trying to comfort herself, but to no avail.

Quickly she turned from the window and began pacing the floor. She had to think, had to decide which way to go with her thoughts so that the choice she made would be the right one. The way she saw it she had three options, each with as many flaws as the other. Each bringing her it's own kind of pain.

If she stayed here, she would suffocate, but it was safe here, didn't she have everything she wanted? Everything but happiness. If she went to the one she truly loved would it destroy him, or her? Maybe both, in the end, and it would destroy so many others, she had to think of the others, because they were part of it all.

Shaking her head, she couldn't do that to the others. She had always prided herself on taking care of others not destroying them, no that was not a viable option, that left only the last one. To go out alone, to live alone, to be by herself. A shiver ran down her spine. Of the three choices this one scared her the most.
