Iroquois out of Canada into the United States. It was during this war
that Pieskaret distinguished himself. On one occasion he ventured
alone within the Iroquois domain and, coming to one of their villages, hid
himself during the day and for three successive nights stole into the
village, scalping the members of a lodge each night. he was later
killed when he encountered a large band of Iroquois.
