A type of bread made by Pueblo women from corn meal. Wood lye was added to the meal and it was spread in a thin layer over a flat cooking stone. The bread was termed piki or bunjabe, and the meal was usually made from the kernels of the blue corn. it had a taste like that of popcorn and was commonly carried on long journeys. It was also known as wafer bread.
