Kutenai

A tribe of Indians, one division of which was known as the Flatbows, who roamed northwestern Montana into Canada, northwestern Washington, and the northern tip of Idaho.  They have given their name to the Kootenay or Kootenai River, also called the Flat Bow River, which flows through Montana and Idaho;  to the Kootenai mountains and Kootenai Falls in Montana; and to a county and village in Idaho.
